The breakfast that makes itself while you sleep. Creamy vanilla oats thickened overnight, then crowned with juicy summer strawberries, blueberries and a crunch of toasted almonds. Grab a jar from the fridge and you're out the door in seconds — lazy mornings, sorted.
Ingredientsfor 4 portions
- 2.5 cup Rolled Oats
- 2.1 cup Whole Milk
- 200 g Greek Yogurt
- 2.1 tbsp Chia Seeds
- 1.9 tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1.3 cup Strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup Blueberries
- 40 g Almonds, toasted, slivered
Steps
- Stir the oats, chia, milk, yogurt, honey and vanilla together in a jar or bowl until evenly combined and no dry pockets remain.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight, or at least 4 hours, until the oats and chia swell and the mixture turns thick and spoonable.
- Toast the almond slivers in a dry pan over medium heat for 2–3 minutes, shaking often, until golden and fragrant; let cool.
- Loosen the chilled oats with a splash more milk if needed, then layer or fold through half the berries.
- Top with the remaining strawberries and blueberries and a shower of toasted almonds just before serving for maximum crunch.
