Faster than delivery and twice as fresh - tender strips of beef and crisp-tender vegetables tossed in a glossy soy-sesame sauce, all over steamed rice. The ultimate answer to a busy weeknight's 'what's for dinner?'
Ingredientsfor 4 portions
- 500 g Beef Sirloin Steak, Raw, thinly sliced
- 200 g Red Bell Pepper
- 250 g Broccoli
- 150 g Carrots
- 280 g Jasmine White Rice
- 45 ml Soy Sauce
- 15 g Garlic
- 15 ml Sesame Oil
Steps
- Get everything ready before the heat goes on: slice the beef thinly against the grain, cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces, and start the rice cooking - stir-fry moves fast.
- Heat a wok or large frying pan until very hot. Sear the beef in a splash of oil for 1-2 minutes until browned, then lift it out so it stays tender.
- Add the broccoli, pepper and carrot to the same pan and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender and glossy.
- Add the garlic and toss for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Return the beef to the pan, pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, and toss everything together for another minute until coated in a glossy sauce.
- Serve straight away over the steamed rice.
